At FleetGO, we believe in progress and performance at the highest level. In technology, in innovation and in people who strive to become a little better every day than they were yesterday. That is why we are proud to announce that we are officially sponsoring young German bobsleigh talent Ben Mielke.
With this partnership, we are not only supporting a promising athlete, but also a mindset that perfectly aligns with our own vision. In this blog, we introduce you to Ben Mielke and our sponsorship.
From American Football to 150 km/h on ice
Ben Mielke (born September 18, 2008) has been active as a pilot in bobsleigh since 2022. At 1.90 metres tall and weighing 90 kg, he possesses the physical attributes essential for this power-driven sport.
“I have been active as a pilot in bobsleigh since 2022. I currently live in Potsdam at the boarding school of the Luftschiffhafen sports complex, where I also attend the European Sports Academy Brandenburg. There, I am working determinedly toward my technical college entrance qualification.”
Ben Mielke
His athletic journey did not begin on ice, but on the American football field. It was there that his passion for bobsleigh developed, introducing him to the world of top speeds, precision, and mental focus.
“My path to bobsleighing began with American football. In preparation for a planned year abroad in the USA, I trained with Gregor Bermbach in the weight room. During one of these training sessions, junior coach Maria Constantin was present and asked me if I would like to push a bobsleigh. Shortly afterwards, I took my first run in Innsbruck, my introduction to bobsleighing.”

Adrenaline, precision, and mental strength
“What fascinates me most about bobsleigh is the combination of adrenaline, precision, and mental strength. For me, the essence of this sport is transforming the thrill before the start into calm and full concentration. My motto is: Be a little better every day than you were the day before.”
Ben Mielke
In a four-man bobsleigh, speeds can reach up to 150 km/h. Depending on the track, forces of 4 to 6 G can occur. Tracks such as Whistler and Altenberg are among the most challenging in the world. Ben has already competed on international tracks including Altenberg, Winterberg, Oberhof, Innsbruck, Lake Placid, and Pyeongchang.
Bobsleigh is a high-speed sport and not without risks. Strict safety regulations and medical checks ensure that safety always comes first. The objective is clear: prevent crashes and maintain maximum control at all times.

Ambitions: on the road to the 2034 Olympic Games
While his goals continue to develop step by step, one dream is clear: the 2034 Olympic Games. But for Ben, success is not only about the final destination. It is about daily progress. Every training session, every run, every improvement counts.
His advice to young athletes? Stay true to yourself. Work on yourself. Focus on yourself. The rest will follow. That is something we at FleetGO strongly believe in as well, striving to be a better version of yourself every day.

FleetGO as a proud sponsor of Ben Mielke
“Bobsleighing is very costly. Without sponsors and support from the association and club, this sport would not be possible. I am grateful to have supporters by my side from an early stage, but I also know that further partners are needed to advance my athletic development in the long term. This support means everything, every single sponsor is vitally important!”
Ben Mielke
What does he value in a partnership? A long-term vision. Joint development. Honesty. Open communication. A partnership in which both parties grow. That is something we fully identify with.
Ben, we are proud to support you on your journey to the very top. Onward to 2034!
